Sometimes being bored is easy, but it always seems hard to overcome the boredness. Theres the usual way of hitting that stumble button just one more time. BUt then theres also the option of typing something your remotely interested in to Google and seeing what pops up.

So thats exactly what i did. As my divorce is in the process of getting sorted and my ex/wife is in the USA. I thought it may be wise to look up Atlantic Law firms. Sure i have a lawyer here in the UK, but things get tricky in divorces and there is paperwork in the States which i need.

So after typing a few random law keywords into Google, i spent a fair amount of time browsing the results. Read the rest of this entry »

We will be on our way to have a great Holiday in Amsterdam!

The tickets are all booked and arrived within 24 hours of ordering them. All thats left is to book the train tickets and all systems are go. Woohoo. Finally!

Its took quite a while to get our holiday plans into gear, partly because we had to sort some other suff out first. But mostly because everytime we got close to having the cash to book the holiday. Another damn bill would fall through the letterbox and hit the mat.

But we got all that covered. No we didn’t change our names to Mr&Mrs Off-it, instead we took the bull by the horns and sorted them all out. Of course this meant we had to switch our travel plans around, which means the airplane is outta the question. But a nice slow ferry ride into Holland is just the ticket in my opinion. We’ve been by ferry before and found it pretty damn relaxing if i’m honest. There was only two things that piss me off about the ferry.

1. The cabins were seriously too hot. Water could of almost evaporated in there.

2. In the morning when the boat is getting closer to Rotterdam something horrible happens.  Theres a voice….. this voice starts in English which is ok. It’s when that voice starts to say the ame thing in another language…. then another language. Until all SIX languages have been covered.  This ‘voice’ is extremely loud and extremely annoying.

Other than the above two things. Theres nothing that bothers me about the crossing. Not even the 12 hour travel across the North sea to Holland.

Now if only we had a time machine to pass the next 2 months quickly…….

So my holiday is getting closer and I’ve been looking around a few dutch sites to help me speak the local lingo. (Only 2 months left until we go. Yippee ). The problem i have mostly is, i can’t speak Dutch to save my life, and online translators don’t exactly help.

So i thought I’d read about things i enjoy reading about anyway. Which is SEO, or as the Dutch call it Zoekmachine Optimalisatie. There’s plenty of other things i like reading about. But i figured i had to start somewhere and i aren’t really into children’s stories. (They kind of scare me)

I’ve also been looking around at places that offer web design. Not because i think the design on this site sucks. Far from it. But rather because it’s always handy to have other places in mind for when something comes up that i can’t get done myself. (Or find on the net somewhere)

Even though it says Thailand web design. I reckon that as the site is in English, i shouldn’t have a problem communicating with them, or getting the work done. Should i ever require their services of course.

On the whole, our holiday is getting closer, I know a new word in Dutch, although if i ever use it when we are away on holiday. My girlfriends gunna look at me like I’m, the strangest person in the world. I managed to find another web design company to work with in the future. And the weather is finally getting better.
