Fake Google Page Rank - Whats it all about?

So we all know what Google page rank is right?If you do, Great. If not, well i hope this post helps explain a little bit. On most peoples browsers, its the little green bar at the top. It’s not highly important to alot. Sure it’s nice to see it up there. But would you go as far to fake it?

What is a Page Rank?

A Page Rank known as “pagerank” or “PR” is exactly what it says. It’s Google’s determination of your pages importance on the internet. In simple terms, the more links pointing to your page. The higher the page rank. Nobody really knows the numbers involved as Google keep their algorithm hidden from prying eyes. (Believed by some to be kept in a vault under the ocean. Guarded by killer sharks.)

Does PageRank matter?

As i said at the beginning, most people either a) Don’t care. b) Are happy on a personal level of acheivement.

Others get excited and spend so much time increasing their pagerank. They don’t work on getting actual visitors to their site. Whats the point in having a nice green bar when no one visits your site to see it?

Why do people fake it?

Most people fake it for profit. Their are many people out there who run sites that rely on Page rank to make money. Whether they are a dodgy directory , Or some other site that needs a higher pagerank than they have.

High Page Rank. Real or Fake?

Most the time the Page Rank you see in that little green bar at the top is correct. But if you really feel the need to check if a sites got real or fake page rank, then there are a couple of ways to find out.

1.) Use this command in google. info:domainname.com That’ll show you were the pagerank spider has been sent to.

2.) Use multiple page rank checking sites. A quick google will bring up a nice handful of pagerank checkers. Use a few of these if your unsure.
