Vix sent me an email today from work about some poor woman who was killed by her Husband because she changed her Facebook status to “Single” After they had split up. Seriously…. that’s crazy!
The small version of the story is a little like this. They’d been together for 15 years,during that time their relationship was described as ‘volatile’. They had 2 children together and up until recently had all been living happily together.
After they split up, she changed her Facebook status to “Single” which enraged her Husband (Soon to be ex).
A quote from the BBC website holds some hoffying info on the attack:
Forrester, an HGV driver, was drunk and high on cocaine when he attacked the mother of two in the early hours as she slept.
He beat her, tore out clumps of her hair, and repeatedly stabbed her in the head and neck.
Neighbours were woken up by her screams. They found him sitting outside the house covered in blood and called the police.
The guy, Wayne Forrester pleaded guilty to murder, And was sentenced to 14 years in jail. Which doesn’t seem long enough. I mean, he killed his wife,left his children Motherless and all because she changed a few words on a website. Didn’t he think they had a chance at sorting it out?
