Its all about me!

Wooohooo its the weekend!

Ok so this post is slightly premature, but is almost the weekend after all, and well….. i’m allowed to get excited!

The weekends are a totally special time for me, as i get to spend the weekend with my girlfriend who just so happens to be the best in the world (Honestly she is). Another great thing about the weekend is i get to move away from this damn computer. It seems that i spend so much time in front of the PC that spending time away is actually quite enjoyable.

For anyone thats curious, i spend roughly 10 hours a day in front of this machine.  Sometimes more, sometimes less.  The one thing i don’t get to do on the computer is enjoy my time. I spend alot of it writing one thing or another. Or developing some kind of site or another. To be honest my time on the PC isn’t really my own.

Sometimes it sucks to work from home.  Home is your office, your office is your home and everytime you want to go on the PC it just reminds you of work.

As long as it all pays goes towards paying for our Amsterdam travel plans. I’ll be alright i guess.

SO thats the end of my rant, i feel better just for typing this up and getting it off my chest.

All the best people

Salvia 40x and Amsterdam

Fullmoon Smart shop, Salvia insideSalvia has started to become a big thing over the last couple of years with more and more YouTube videos popularizing the legal drug.  My short Amsterdam break didn’t lead me to follow anyone around and grab a video of them whilst high on the stuff. But i sure  wish it had. (Maybe next time ;) )

Salvia gives the effects of hallucinating but without the problems it seems.  The stuff is pretty easy to get a hold of and comes in different strengths, the stronger it is, the less you need.  You can buy it online, and as most countries don’t have a problem with it’s use (yet) it’s no hassle getting it shipped to your address.

The strongest you can get is salvia divinorum 40x . Usual strengths of the Salvia are salvia divinorum 20x and salvia divinorum 40x.  There used to be weaker ones too, but i think demand might have died for it.

It’s not expensive, isn’t illegal,no bad side effects. (Apparently). To me it just seems like a bit of fun. But then again, there’s lots of things that are fun that i wouldn’t personally try.

If you do plan on having a little buzz on Salvia, then make sure your somewhere familiar, especially if you’ve never tried it before. Also make sure your friend has a video camera of some kind and get them to record it.  If you really feel like it, upload it to YouTube and share it with the world.

I’m pretty sure that one day i’ll get round to giving this Salvia stuff a try, it’s just a case of when and where.  Which the answers to those questions are likely, in Amsterdam…. next time.

Another Directory To Submit To….

People are looking for web directories to submit their link to everyday. In fact by my guesses, there’s always someone looking for a place to submit their links to.

Another directory that appeared on my screen was linkzone.biz. I don’t mind this directory as the layout is nice and easy and it’s not too confusing with adverts everywhere and the navigation couldn’t really be easier.  When it comes to directories, they’re either really badly laid out, or the categories aren’t relevant and full of useless sites. Linkzone isn’t like this from what i’ve seen.

As it’s a paid directory, the sites that appear in the directory are better than most of the free directories out there. (I say most as some free directory owners actually care what sites get listed.)  The prices vary depending on what type of listing you’d like. But i think the basic listing cost was about $10, with the premium option costing a little extra.

As yet i haven’t tried to submit url of any kind. I’ve got the site bookmarked and will check back in the near future.  If it’s still around and accepting submissions, then i’ll hop straight into the payment page and sort things out.

Picking popular names for children

With recent situations of ours changing, it’s come that time when we need to try and find a name for our soon to be born baby.  Yes you heard it here first, we’re due to have a baby!!!!

My girl is 4 months pregnant and thinking of names is harder than it seems. We’ve gone through endless suggestions, family names and even names from the TV. But none of them seem right for our little chippaa (Chippaa is what we are calling the baby until they are born.) We don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl yet, although we do get to find out soon enough, just a couple more weeks. :D

One of the places we’ve been looking for popular names for our lil Chippaa is Namesdir.  The site doesn’t have what i’d call the best navigation in the world, but their list of names is pretty exhaustive.  You can select baby first name, surname and even just some of the most popular names they have.  There’s even a random name button just in case you can’t think of anything else.

Chippaa is due in May next year, and could very well be the first baby girl i have. We’ll just have to wait and see i guess. I’m hoping for a girl but as long as the baby is healthy and alright. I don’t really mind.  Vix seems to think she’s got a lil girl in there, but as i have 3 boys already. I’d say the odds were stacked in the Male favour.

How to get off Santa’s Naughty list

It’s that time of year when Christmas is fast approaching and we all hope we didn’t make it onto Santa’s naughty list. Even if we are on the naughty list, this is 2008! There has to be some way to get off it, we can after all chat with people all the world in real time, trade currencies globally from the comfort of our home, and everyones favourite….Christmas shopping in the nude! (OK so maybe not everyones favourite, but i bet it’s someones out there ;) )

So i reckon that some how the internet can help anyone who happens to be on the bad list that Santa guards.

Here’s a few proposals:

  1. Sell Santa a dodgy Ebook on how to run his sleigh on water. It’ll give the reindeers a break and get Santa around without damaging the planet. He’ll thank us and strike us from the naughty list.
  2. Add Santa as a friend on Myspace,Facebook, and all the other social networking sites. If he accepts the friend request we could chat with him everyday and ask him kindly to remove us. Even better, make Santa a super cool Myspace layout and he won’t be able to resist the urge to remove us.
  3. Send Santa an eCard. By sending Santa an eCard you get the chance to say sorry personally to him. Well as personal as your likely to get to Santa. Make it something really fancy, or a nice picture of a beach. I dunno if Santa gets to visit the beach often, but it’s always a nice view.
  4. Find Santa on Secondlife,WoW and other popular games. It might be hard to recognize Santa Read the rest of this entry »
