Something that is important when it comes to designing your site or even just trying to get visitors is to make sure your links actually point to a webpage. After all, if visitors can’t navigate your site then who will?
This is exactly the problem i came across today while trying to browse the FTC.com site.
I was on their spam page at http://www.ftc.gov/spam when i got interested in one of their sidebar links. Obviously this being the net i attempted to click on one of their many links to reveal the rest of the article. Only to be told that the page didn’t exist!
Now don’t get me wrong, people make mistakes and things often happen that we didn’t expect. But did we ever expect the Federal Trade Commission to get so many links wrong? I didn’t think they would but it seems they really did.
Check out the FTc.gov/spam site and see if you can get nay of the links on the left to work. I know i couldn’t
