We got the Trenton Deluxe, An honest review

Trenton DeluxeBefore Zachary was born we were hardpressed to choose a pushchair.  We were looking for something which was not only affordable, but also ideal for the things we do, such as walking most places and going shopping without a car.  But we still needed a car seat for when travelling further afield.

We spent quite some time checking out the various stores with pushchairs and prams for sale. But the prices were either too high, or the pushchair didn’t seem strong enough for all the walking we would be doing with it.  The two that we ended up deciding between were the Trenton Deluxe from Mothercare, or the Jeep pushchair / Travel System. Both had the same features and both were of a similar price.

Luckily there was someone whom Vix worked with that had a Trenton Deluxe from Mothercare in good condition.  They cleaned up great and had all the fitting, covers etc.  The only thing extra we needed to buy was the rain cover, and a parasol for the summer sun.

The pushchair is great in my opinion for walking just about anywhere. Across the park is no problem as the wheels don’t jam up and when pushing pavements it seems almost effortless.

Baby Zach Photos

Like any parent, we took hundreds of photos of baby Zach.  Here’s a small selection of the first few weeks, from when he was in the hospital, to a couple of days before his 6 week checkup.

Zachary Jayden

All about Zachary.

This post is almost six weeks late, mostly due to internet problems and then once we did get the internet resolved, the laptop stopped working.  But thats for another post.

This post is for the birth of our baby boy Zachary Jayden, who came into this world on the 18th of May 2009  at 4:14 am, just 20 hours earlier than his due date, Who could ask for a better start to their week?

Just 11 hours old in this photo. How cute!

The labour was pretty hardcore, especially as the pregnancy went so great Vicky was expecting to be able to have a water birth. Unfortunately that didn’t happen.  But once the weekend was over, Zachary and Vicky were both fine and doing well.  They had to spend the night in the maternity ward just to make sure everything was ok with Zachary.

Weighing in at 6lb 5oz, Zachary was certainly among the longer of newborn babies, and his feet were especially big!   Everyone who saw him in the first few days all commented on the size of his feet. (We might have a photo of them somewhere).

on Monday he’ll be just 6 weeks old,  he already has the idea of sleeping through the night and chilling out through the day time.

The meaning of the name Zachary is “The Lord Remembers”
